Photos and Location Data

When you submit a sighting, we collect the photos you upload and the location where the green infrastructure is located. This location may come from your photo's GPS data or be manually placed on the map.

Account Information

We use Clerk for authentication. When you sign in, we receive a unique user ID. We do not store your email address or personal name. Instead, we generate an anonymous display name (e.g., "Happy Fox") from your user ID.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and preferences. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

How We Use Your Information

• To display sightings on the map for public viewing
• To allow you to edit or delete your own submissions
• To improve our service and understand usage patterns

Data Sharing

Sightings you submit are publicly visible on the map. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Data Retention

Sightings remain in our database unless you delete them. Photos are stored in Cloudflare R2 storage.

Your Rights
